What’s an instance?
|
An instance is any user navigation action different from keying/selecting keywords. FIRST considers many instances, namely: Accepting the bid (going to see a particular attraction);
More/next, user makes click on a hyperlink/button that leads him/her to the next document or to a “more detail” document; Select a document to keep/print; Save documents kept/printed; Look for Help; Predetermined time spent; Selection of i-URL: This is a crucial instance in our FIRT methodology. User decides to see the evaluated authority; Comments: users are encouraged to express their pleasure/displeasure with the Website offer; Leaving: User decides either to leave the Website or to initiate another session; Session tracking recording: user decides to keep/see a copy of his/her tracking session record; Coming back from an incursion: User after seeing a suggested URL decides to come back to continue his/her session.
